We have all-natural, non-GMO, soy-free, pastured pork for sale!
Our pigs eat whatever they can find in the pasture and non-GMO, non-soy, swine feed and fermented whole grains (currently a mix of wheat, barley, oats, corn, and field peas) from Sunrise Farms in Stuarts Draft, Virginia. Our pigs are a mix between Gloucestershire Old Spot (the boar) and Berkshire (the sows). We are very happy with this particular mix. It produces really delicious pork raising them they way we do.
We sell our pork as either a half or whole hog. Due to the extreme increase in the cost of feed (and everything else) since Covid, we have had to raise our prices a bit. We charge $4.50 per pound hanging weight for a half hog, and $4.00 per pound hanging weight for a whole hog. (This buys the hog, and you would pay the butcher for processing. We commonly use Green Valley in Monroe, Virginia or T&E Meats in Harrisonburg, Virginia.)
Processing has been a bit of a challenge since Covid as well, so sometimes the schedule has been uncertain. We do have several hogs ready to be processed. At the latest, we have an appointment in June for them, but we may have the ability to get some in sooner.
